Volunteering Information and Oppertunities

Our Volunteering History

The Rock Centre is proud of our volunteering history, since our formation back in 1990 the Centre has offered volunteering opportunities’ to the community.

Over the years we have helped our volunteers further their lives in positive ways, many of our volunteers have taken the new skills that we have taught them, and used these skills to find permanent employment.

Though we are always sorry to see volunteers move on, we are extremely proud to say that we have helped them better their lives.

At present we have volunteers working on many of our services/activities, such services/activities like the Lunch Club, Play Place and Walking Group are filled with volunteers that are learning new skills.

What are the benefits of volunteering?

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and strengthen your CV.

It can help to build confidence levels and gain valuable experience, all of which can be used to gain employment.

We welcome people from all walks of life, no matter how much or how little time people are able to give us.

How much time do I have to give?

The majority of our volunteering opportunities are for a few hours a week.
